On Friday, September 13, 2025, the Excel Education Initiative Dukku (EEID) successfully concluded the End-of-First-Term Program for our Junior Secondary School Three (JSS 3) students. This pivotal event marked the culmination of a demanding and productive academic period, celebrating the students’ commitment and preparation for the challenges ahead.
A Milestone Moment
The JSS 3 first term is critical as it sets the foundation for their final junior secondary examinations and prepares them for the transition to senior secondary education. The program served as more than just a formal closing; it was a comprehensive review designed to solidify the knowledge gained over the last few months and provide a much-needed morale boost.

The day’s events included various activities centered around academic recognition, feedback, and future planning:
- Result Presentation: Students received their term-end academic reports, accompanied by personalized feedback on their performance and areas for improvement.
- Performance Review: Teachers offered detailed sessions breaking down key concepts from the curriculum, addressing common difficulties encountered in tests and assignments.
- Motivational Talk: Recognizing the stress associated with exam preparation, a brief motivational session was held to encourage students to maintain focus, manage their time effectively, and believe in their abilities as they approach their external examinations.

Focus on Readiness
For our JSS 3 cohort, every term brings them closer to sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The End-of-Term Program strategically focused on exam readiness. Discussions centered on essential study skills, techniques for managing exam anxiety, and the importance of consistent review throughout the upcoming break.
We emphasized that success is a journey built on discipline and consistency. The students were encouraged to utilize their break wisely—not just for rest, but also for targeted revision of challenging subjects, ensuring they return for the second term feeling prepared and refreshed.

Looking Ahead
The successful completion of the First-Term Program reflects the dedication of the students, the hard work of the EEID faculty, and the unwavering support of their parents and the community. We are incredibly proud of the progress made by the JSS 3 students.
As they enter the second, and most critical, phase of their junior secondary journey, we pray that Allah grants them wisdom, clarity, and success in their studies and future endeavors. The entire EEID team remains committed to providing the resources and support necessary to help every student achieve their highest potential.
